Springtime in the Country Blog Hop w/a $100 GC giveaway

What signifies Spring to me?  I live in Texas so its Bluebonnets.  That and baseball.  I’m originally from Oklahoma but I have lived in Texas for most of my life.  I live in East Texas now where the trees are already budding and my allergies are running amok now.  But you know what?  I wouldn’t live in Dallas again.  Too much smog and I was constantly sick with something.  Where I live now…I can walk outside and take a breath and feel connecting to the earth.  Can I deal with my allergies?  Sure I can.

Here is a “deleted” scene from my debut The Couple.  Enjoy…

Heroine’s POV from The Couple:

Maybe my girlfriend’s think I’m cracked.  Trying to hook up with a cowboy in the last place I need to be…a bar.  They just don’t understand that I’m truly lonely and need a night where I can forget, be pleasured to where I’m either begging for him to stop because it’s too much or for more.  I have needs and I can’t help that they have men at their beck and call 24/7.  This is my life not theirs.  I haven’t been tied up in a while and tonight is the night.

Where is that cowboy that I keep seeing in the bar?  He almost had me last month, but I left him hanging and hard.  He He!  I don’t plan on doing that this time.  I want his jeans around his ankles, me on my knees and him screaming my name when he comes.  I want my hair pulled, spread eagle on his bed and screaming his name.

Now where is he?  Oh wait, there he is and damn, he is hot!

  1. I love being surprised by the explosion of flowers in my garden. One day nothing, next green stems, then there’s a five foot patch of blue and pink flowers…Which my dog Jess says, That looks soft and crushes them.

  2. Thank you for the giveaways. Cowboys in blue-jeans are my favorite sight all seasons – but in the spring it’s just so much increased with anticipation and excitement. Spring is in the air. Coats are removed.

  3. Love the cover of your book. I love taking long walks and enjoying the flowers in bloom and the warmer tempts.

  4. Wow, Harlie (love your name), that tidbit you left out of your story The Couple was hot enough to scorch me! So glad you posted on this Springtime in the Country blog tour so that I could “meet” you. jdh2690@gmail.com

  5. Why did you decide to delete this scene?

My favorite spring time activity is reading on my front porch. The weather is lovely, birds are chirping, and the trees have leaves.
Then the pollen comes and ruins everything.

Thanks for hosting the giveaway. Fingers crossed to win.

    Happy Spring!

  6. my dad always said Spring is sprung the grass is rize, I wonder where the flowerz is? every year. I find myself looking forward to color coming back to the yard and the sounds of animals. I also love being able to air out the house from the stale smells from winter. The Couple sounds like a good read and reminds me of younger days.
